Privacy
Last updated 2026-08-11. This describes what this website does. It is short because the site does very little.
What this site collects
Two things, and nothing else:
- Anything you type into the contact form. Your name, email address, optionally a company name, the topic you pick, and your message.
- Anonymous page-view statistics. Which pages were viewed, and which site referred the visit.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. Page-view statistics come from Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors across sites — but it is still measurement, so it is disclosed here rather than left unmentioned. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, and no third-party analytics script.
What happens to a contact form submission
It is emailed to Smith Technologies through Resend, an email delivery provider, and lands in an ordinary Google Workspace inbox. It is used to reply to you. It is not added to a mailing list — there is no mailing list — and it is not sold, shared or fed into an advertising system.
Old enquiries are deleted from the inbox when they are no longer relevant. If you want yours removed sooner, email scott@smithtechnologies.io and it will be.
Who else is involved
Running a website means other companies handle your request in passing:
- Vercel — hosting and analytics. Serves these pages and keeps standard server logs.
- Cloudflare — DNS for this domain.
- Resend — delivers contact-form messages to the inbox.
- Google Workspace — receives and stores that email.
Each has its own privacy policy. No other third party receives anything you submit here.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email scott@smithtechnologies.io. Given the above, the answer is usually “one email thread, now deleted.”
Changes
If this site starts doing something else with your data, this page will say so before it does, and the date at the top will change.
